Edel Wignell's fiction writing is inspired by her interest in history, folklore and fantasy. The fantasy is always set in the real world, so the stories are a blend of fantasy and reality. Family life is the common link in fiction, whether the stories arefantasy or reality or a blend of both, such as Escape by Deluge and You'll Turn Into a Rabbit!, and adjustment to change is a constant theme.
Edel writes novels and chapter books for children aged 6-12 years.
